Recovrr.org Inc. is a nonprofit organization that develops technology to support members of Narcotics Anonymous.
Recovrr.org Inc. is a New York 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, incorporated in 2020.
Our work focuses on practical technology that helps people find Narcotics Anonymous meetings and connect with other members while respecting privacy and anonymity.
The Recovrr App
Our primary project is Recovrr, a free iPhone and iPad app.
Recovrr helps members find in-person and hybrid NA meetings and privately connect with other Recovrr members.
Meeting discovery includes an interactive Map, meeting lists, destination search, and a quick Nearby Meetings view. Members can also establish mutual Connections, share selected information with those connections, communicate without exposing private email addresses, and control how much profile and location information they make available.
Virtual-meeting discovery is handled by the companion We Are Never Alone app. Virtual meetings found there can be opened directly in Recovrr.
Privacy and Anonymity
Privacy is a basic design requirement for Recovrr.
Members decide how they identify themselves, which optional profile information they provide, whether their approximate location may be used for member discovery, whom they connect with, and whom they block.
Recovrr does not display one member’s private email address to another member. When a member chooses to participate in location-based discovery, the location made available to other members is deliberately made less precise.
Our privacy policies describe these practices and the information required to operate our services in more detail.
Meeting Information
Recovrr uses meeting information originating in BMLT sources maintained by independent Narcotics Anonymous service bodies and BMLT data maintainers around the world.
Recovrr aggregates and presents this information but does not own or control the authoritative meeting records. This allows Recovrr to provide broad meeting discovery while respecting the distributed service structure responsible for maintaining the underlying information.
Independent Service
Recovrr.org Inc. is independent of Narcotics Anonymous.
Neither Recovrr.org Inc. nor the Recovrr app is affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Narcotics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous World Services, Inc., or na.org.
References to Narcotics Anonymous describe the community and meeting information that the service is designed to support; they do not imply official affiliation.
Our Approach
We build focused tools for specific practical needs.
Recovrr is intended to help members find meetings and connect with other members. It is not a recovery program, counseling service, medical service, or substitute for the people and service structures of Narcotics Anonymous.
Our goal is narrower: use technology where it can make useful information and connections easier to reach, while giving members meaningful control over their privacy.
