Recovrr is a free iPhone and iPad app that helps members of Narcotics Anonymous find meetings and connect privately with other Recovrr members.
Recovrr is operated by Recovrr.org Inc., a nonprofit organization. It is an independent service project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Narcotics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous World Services, Inc., or na.org.
Find NA Meetings
Recovrr helps you find in-person and hybrid Narcotics Anonymous meetings.
The Map starts near your current location and displays meetings in the area. You can pan or zoom to explore somewhere else, filter meetings by weekday, switch to a meeting list, or search around another destination.
Home also provides a quick Nearby Meetings list. This is intentionally a useful sample rather than a comprehensive list: Recovrr adjusts the search area according to meeting density.
Tap any meeting to open Meeting Details, where you can see available information such as its schedule, address, formats, directions, virtual connection information, and other details supplied by the meeting source.
Meeting information presented by Recovrr originates in BMLT sources maintained by independent NA service bodies and BMLT data maintainers. Recovrr aggregates and presents this information but does not control the authoritative meeting records.
Virtual Meetings
Recovrr can display and work with virtual meetings, but it does not search for them directly.
For virtual-meeting discovery, we recommend We Are Never Alone, a separate app designed specifically for finding virtual NA meetings. A meeting found there can be opened directly in Recovrr without searching for it again.
Connect With Other Members
Recovrr provides a private way for registered members to find and connect with one another.
The Network area lets you find other Recovrr members, send and receive connection requests, manage existing Connections, and block members when necessary.
Connections are mutual. Some information, such as meeting attendance and an optional phone number, is available only between members who have established a connection.
You can also send email to another member through Recovrr without either member’s private email address being revealed to the other.
Your Profile
Your Profile lets you decide how you identify yourself to other Recovrr members.
You can choose a display name and optionally provide an avatar, tagline, clean date, phone number, and other information supported by the app. You do not need to use your legal or full name as your display name.
Your email address is required for your Recovrr account but is never displayed to other members.
Location and Privacy
Location features are optional.
Recovrr can use your device location to find meetings near you. Separately, you can choose whether your location may be used to help other Recovrr members discover you.
When member-location sharing is enabled, Recovrr does not expose your precise location to other members. The shared location is deliberately randomized, or “fuzzed,” within approximately 5 kilometers.
Hide My Location is enabled by default. You can leave it enabled and still use Recovrr to find meetings and be found by other members who search for your display name.
Privacy and anonymity depend partly on the information you choose to provide. Recovrr therefore gives you control over optional profile information, member-location sharing, connections, blocking, meeting attendance, and account deletion.
Requesting an Account
Recovrr accounts are manually reviewed.
From the Sign In screen, choose Sign Up to request an account. You will need a valid email address and will be asked for information that helps Recovrr administrators review the request.
If the request is approved, Recovrr sends sign-in credentials to the email address you supplied.
Accessibility and Help
Recovrr supports Apple’s accessibility technologies and is designed to use familiar iPhone and iPad interaction patterns.
Most of the app is intended to be explored rather than learned from a manual. If you already use Recovrr and need help with a feature, the Recovrr App Instructions provide a complete illustrated guide.
The guide also contains detailed information about privacy, anonymity, and deleting your Recovrr account.
NOTE: The 2.0 version of the Recovrr app requires a minimum of iOS/iPadOS 18.
Take a Closer Look
Almost all of Recovrr is available only after signing in. If you would like to see what the app is like without requesting an account, the Recovrr Walkthrough provides a detailed look inside.
The walkthrough shows how Recovrr helps NA members find meetings and connect with one another, what members can choose to share, what is visible only to connections, and how Recovrr approaches privacy and location.
